In 2010, L.BERNARD - electric actuation specialist- gathers a great momentum and becomes BERNARD CONTROLS.
These new name and visual identity better reflect our international dimension, established from year to year, and highlight our development strategy. It is a key step in the setting up of a global corporate identity.
This new name is understandable everywhere in the world. It is loyal to the brand Bernard, which reputation is firmly established in our business, and stresses a major technical element of both our activity and our customer's: the industrial control, the control of fluids, flows and energies.
In the site of La Plaine Saint Denis, North Paris Area, at the end of 1936, Mr. Lucien BERNARD set up a manufacturing shop of electric motors.The activity, interrupted in 1939, resumed in 1946 after the Liberation. In 1949, the company was founded and started specializing in the design and manufacturing of electric actuators. In the sixties, a first subsidiary is established in Germany. The company name becomes L.BERNARD in 1981, status as Limited Company. Mr. Etienne BERNARD is nominated Chief Executive Officer at this date. Followed in 1989, the building of a new plant in Gonesse - near ROISSY CDG Airport - and the purchase of the actuation activity of the only French competitor, Joucomatic.
In 2010, with the launch of some great technical innovations, the adoption of the new name means a great momentum!
From its early start, international expansion has been a key stone of the company development strategy. More recently, the international network was strengthened thanks to the Beijing subsidiary. Today BERNARD CONTROLS' worldwide network gathers more than 30 Agents, 3 Offices in Bangkok, Dubaï and Moscow and 7 subsidiaries in France and in Beijing, Brussels, Köln, Houston, Madrid, and Milano.
